The B challenge

Yesterday we received our B prompt, which had some lovely ideas and a little challenge attached! I have already planned my B pages, but now I must try to incorporate the challenge - which is to use something bought when I just started scrapping but now is an embarrassment... I am not sure what to use, as I am very selective about what I buy, but I am sure I will find something suitably yukky! I have printed my photos, now I must plan the pages and do them... for that, I need to find some time!

The A pages

A is for avo. Avo is Portuguese for Grandparent. The photos feature Lola's Grandmother, Mother and Father with Rey.

The inside cover

On the left hand side is a pocket for storing notes and ideas, and a tag on which I have written what I have planned for each letter. On the right hand side is a letter to Rey from me, and a beautiful photo taken when he was minutes old.

The front cover

This is the front cover of my album.

A is complete!

Okey dokey then, I have finished the covers, and covered the front cover with an 8x8 page protector. I have done the info page and intro page. I have done the 2 A pages, and I am thrilled with the results!

Only now I have to wait 2 weeks for the next one...

All ready to start

OK, now I have the covers ready. I covered both with the same paper, and then punched them (and all the pages) and then I bound them using book rings which I decorated with fibres and ribbons. Then I made a sweet front cover of Rey.

Today I received the first prompt from IACW, and tomorrow I will be doing the first DLO - the A will be A for Avos. Avo is Portuguese for Grandparent, and Rey has 3 Avos.

I have chosen photos of the Avos with Rey at different stages so that he can see himself getting older.
